Sunday Post (4)

Hi everyone!
It's been a long, busy two weeks here at The Nocturnal Library which means I have much to share with you. So let's start with the reviews I posted recently:

Here's what you can expect next week:
Flutter by Gina Linko
The Madman's Daughter by Megan Shepherd
Slide by Jill Hathaway
Ten Things I've Learnt About Love by Sarah Butler
... and of course, the WoW post on Wednesday...

As for my new books, there are plenty. More than I can read in time, I suspect. But that's never stopped me from trying.

Paper Valentine by Brenna Yovanoff
Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers
Both are such pretty hardcovers, I could stare at them all day!

Mist (Mist, #1) by Kathryn James
Eona (Eon, #2) by Alison Goodman
Please don't ask me why this pic is blue, I can't figure my camera out. :))

And these three pretties from Walker Books:
Hidden Among Us by Katy Moran
OMG! Is This Actually My Life? by Rae Earl
Black Spring by Alison Croggon

There are also some new e-books I need to read as soon as I can. Some I've finished already, some I've even reviewed, but most of them are just there to taunt me every time I touch Ferguson, my Kindle.

Sweet on You (Laurel Heights, #6) by Kate Perry

Aaand that's about it. Thank you to: Hachette Children's Books, Walker Children's, Houghton Miffin Books for Children, Tor Teen and Random House UK.

What's new with you guys? Please leave me a link and I'll be right there. As always, thank you so much for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. I appreciate it.

  1. I love that your kindle's name is Ferguson! :D
I wanted to give mine a name but nothing suited it!
So many great books this week- I'm so jealous of Shadow Lands and Dark Triumph.
Have a good week- I will stop by again for your reviews of Flutter and The Madman's Daughter- I'm curious to see what you thought of them. x

  2. Oh wow Maja where did I even begin with your beautiful book haul? I've had my eye on Paper Valentine for ages now, I love the cover that you have much more to the one the UK one, the reviews haven't been that promising so far, but lets hope that we both enjoy the book. I can't wait to start my copy of The Nightmare Affair, it has such a enticing premise, I'm planning to pick my copy up soon so let me know if you're up for a read-along! The last one we did was ages ago! I hope you enjoy your books lovely! :)

  3. Great haul Maja. I have The Nightmare Affair too, I'm really looking forward to it, hope it lives up to expectations. Recalled sounds really good too. Enjoy!!

  4. Great haul, Maja! I know you are a big Yovanoff fan, so I can't wait to hear what you think about Paper Valentine. I quite liked it myself, despite some issues. And I finished The Nightmare Affair last night. I had mixed thoughts, unfortunately! But it was quite fun at times, I guess. The Dead and Buried and Shadowlands look like fantastic read. I know the reviews for the latter have been pretty positive so far. Enjoy! :)

  5. I really enjoyed OMG! Is This Actually My Life?, it was hilarious! Ahh, Grave Mercy was one my fave reads of 2012, loved it so much - can't wait to read Dark Triumph! <3 And the Eon duology is one of my all time fave fantasies! Awesome haul this week, Maja. ^^

  10. YES! EONA! :D I hope you enjoy it more than Eon, Maja! I really need to get around to writing my review for it... Grave Mercy seems to be a hit-or-miss book with most people and while I wasn't a fan, I certainly hope you are. I do love the cover for the series. Paper Valentine sounds great as does The Nightmare Affair, which I have yet to read myself. Amazing haul this week, Maja!(:

  11. First, I can't even tell you how much I love that you named your Kindle Ferguson. I need to name mine! I got the Nightmare Affair as well and CANNOT WAIT to read it:) I'm super excited for your review of The Madman's Daughter too, I just finished that this weekend. I had no idea it was going to be a trilogy, I love how in the know I am:)

  12. I loved Grave Mercy, Maja! I thought you read it and I just checked and saw that you did. You must be getting your own physical copy. I'm dying to get my hands on Dark Triumph. I hope it's just as good as GM. Can' wait to see what you think. The Dead and Buried and Shadowlands are also ones I've been lusting after! Enjoy your reads Maja. :)

  14. Yeah! So happy to see you finally reading Cambria Hebert! I think you will enjoy her writing. So many goodies up there. I still haven't read that blog slut book Grave Mercy. She sure got around the blogosphere last winter a regular blog whore. I am also wanting to read Paper Valentine. I will be watching for the review of Flutter as I need to read my ARC. I wish I was looking forward to it, but so far the reviews are rather dismal.

  15. Oooh, the finished hardcover of PAPER VALENTINE is gorgeous! I kind of need that book in my hands, like now. I've heard amazing things about Shadowlands, I hope you enjoy it! So many prettiful books this week, Maja. Happy reading!!

  16. Grave Mercy was my #1 read for 2012 YA and I hope you totally love it as much as I did. Paper Valentine is on my wishlist :) The Sunday Post

  18. Oh I'm excited to see your thoughts on Paper Valentine, I know you're a big fan of Brenna's work. Also, have you not read Grave Mercy? If not--I'm dying to see what you think of that and Dark Triumph. That's one I'd love to get my hands on early, but am still too lazy to request. :P

Hopefully I'll be reading The Dead and Buried next--trying to keep up with ARCs this year!

  19. Looking forward to your review of Black Spring and Black Swan Rising. Fab haul, Maja!

  20. What an amazing lineup! I can't wait to see what you think of Paper Valentine. I love a good dose of mystery and it looks like a book that would appeal to me. I love the cover for Mist.
